Solar Irrigation Solutions

In many rural areas, especially in developing and emerging countries, the access to the electricity grid is not always guaranteed. In this case, farmers cannot rely on the traditional irrigation system. Thus, using an independent and alternative energy system can be a solution for the farmer to secure a safe power source. This is where the solar irrigation pump as shown in the figure below comes into play. This solution uses the the sun’s energy which is captured by solar panels and converted it into mechanical energy which then runs the pump. The system is easily installed and requires very little maintenance.
